Arthritis Pain is Not Just an Old-Age Problem

Help With Arthritis Pain Relief

Growing up I thought of arthritis as a disease of the aged. After all, I didn’t know any young person affilicted with the painful malady, so why would I think otherwise? Much to my surprise, however, as I grew up I discovered that some young people in the prime of life were diagnosed with the often-times crippling disease. Sadly those afflicted with arthritis in their youth will have to deal with arthritis pain relief for their entire lives.

The good news is that, with more research and knowledge about the disease there’s better resources available for dealing with your arthritis pain. Listed below are a few tips for coping with the pain.

Investigate the many different creams and lotions available for topical relief. Look for creams and different lotions that contain healing elements that you can rub into the affected areas which will hopefully help the swelling go down. If you can get the swelling to go down, you will find that the pain isn’t far behind it.

Prescription pain medication is another way for you to deal with arthritis pain. There are several different medications, and your doctor will be able to tell you exactly what kinds of medicines will work well for your kind of arthritis. Some people get very mild cases, and some people get worse cases that are harder to help.

Another thing you can do is to learn what times of day and what seasons are going to be worse for you, and take precautions to deal with these times. For instance, if the cold makes your hands hurt the worse, wear gloves when in cold environments. Also, stop periodically to warm your hands.

Muscle soaks are absolutely great and will provide you with a bit of arthritis pain relief. Have you tried the Apple Cider Vinegar Soak? Simply pour a cup of unprocessed Apple Cider Vinegar into your warm bath water and soak for about 30 minutes. Very relaxing and soothing.

Recently I discovered an over-the-counter product called ArthX that has worked wonders for me. My sister-in-law who sufferes from acute arthritis pain told me about the product and almost a year later I tried it. How I wish I had taken it sooner! The stuff is great. You will find it in health food stores, and in my opinion, is an excellent pain reliever for arthritis and other aches and pain.

Of course, don’t overlook talking to your doctor about your pain, because there are many different things out on the market to help you with arthritis pain relief. With your doctor’s help you may find that a combination of medications to reduce the swelling and exercises to keep the joints limber are really just what you need to continue to live a normal life even while dealing with this disease.
